46/100 Great Kids in History by Michael Williams

Great Kids in HistoryThis is a fascinating book detailing information about 20+ amazing children/teenagers that made great strides throughout their young lives.  Often the teens mentioned actually changed how we live today.  If you are looking at your teen or tween and wondering how you can motivate them, have the read about the teen that invented television, or the young man that inspired a strike of all newsies in New York City (the reason I even found this book).  They can read about the girl that struck out Babe Ruth, or any of the other inspirational teens mentioned.  While the book is short and each teen only has 2-5 pages to their story, this is certainly worth a read or two.  If you are looking for a novelization of the Newsies movie or musical then this is not a good book for you.  For inspiration and a ‘never quit’ attitude, then pick up this quick read.
