This was a good book detailing the fight between good and evil. The elements of paranormal are interspersed with real life while not touching religion at all. The complete lack of religious mention almost comes off as false, but since it is set as a college situation it does not seem that fake. The main characters are a little complicated to understand, but some strength shows through despite opposition. This book was compelling enough for me to obtain the next two. I love how the focus is more on the events and how the main character is feeling rather than strictly based on a romance, or something similar.
